Desert Winds 2008 - Las Vegas/Lake Mead Adventure Racing
The Desert Winds 2008 will be a 24 hour PLUS, non-stop adventure races in and around Lake Mead National Recreation Area; within an hour or so of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Desert Winds 2008 will be about 26 hours of adventure race challenge.

The course will include trekking, canyoneering, paddling, open water swimming and coasteering - no MTBIKING on this year's course

Registration/Entry Fee
$180 per athlete includes TrackMe360 device (per team), wicking tee, & post race meal.
Register before midnight Mar 2 and receive a google map of the area w/ one cp.

Mission
To provide a race to athletes with the feel of an expedition length race - that can be done in a weekend...with waterproof maps, waterproff course books, and accurate CP's.

Format
Coed teams of 3 or 4-person or all female 3 or 4-person teams are the Primary Teams.
2-person and solo entries are also welcome.

Except for the finish time, there are no cut-off times or dark zones. There are no mystery events. No Support Team is needed.
